In an attempt to move forward with my aspirations in life, I have set up an Indeed profile, and set my LinkedIn profile to “looking for positions.” I have come to the conclusion that one of things I have always had issues with is selling myself.

By nature, I am one that does not want to draw attention to himself. If I were a superhero, my ability would be to blend into the background. I can see my arrival announced at a formal event,  “The Social Chameleon has arrived!” Insert applause that fades into an occasional clap and onto curious whispering… “Has anyone seen him? Where’d he go?”

The moral of this very short story is I must learn to not hide myself, or what I know, but to acknowledge and own it.
