About

I am what you would call a lifelong, if not formally educated, learner. I do have an Associates Degree, but have not engaged in a degree seeking path for quite some time. Most of my education has come in the form of online tutorials, classes, or falling down a rabbit hole.

The main purpose of this blog is to help explain some things I have learned, talk through breakthroughs and understanding, and document some missing parts that aren’t structured well enough for Github or LinkedIn. Such as the following…

1) Self Education – I am in the process of teaching myself a few things which include aspects of Python, GIS and MySQL. Plus whatever topics happen to pop up along the way. This blog will help me reference and keep track of items I have worked on and learned.

2) Online Resume – Documenting experiences will help when applying for a position. This will also provide a broader picture than a singular resume. And will hopefully help make up for gaps in the Github portfolio.

3) Accountability – This may be the most important reason… It will give me the opportunity to refer to what I am engaging in. A bigger picture outside of official documentation because many of my exploits do not result in official creations.
