Posting slips away…

It has been too long since my last post… I have been spending time working my way through a python tutorial. Yesterday I decided to abandon it.

That decision was not made lightly because of the time I had invested in it. As I took a step back and looked over the remaining content and musing over what I had already completed, I determined my time would be better spend elsewhere.

The tutorial was long. Made even longer by the teaching process. (at least for me) The instructor went too fast, cursor movements were frantic, we would work through something only to go back and delete it to do something else. And this part sounds a little cocky, I disagreed with the efficiency of how the data was structured. We were also not given an example of what we were expected to build. A visualization of what was being constructed would have been very helpful.

This post sounds a bit ranty, and will probably be taken down later, but it is driven by frustration. This also opens my eyes to what definitely does not help me in the learning process.
