Summing up 2023

This week, I have been doing some digital clean up. In doing so, I reached this blog and see some posts that were never completed. Instead of trying to fully complete them, here are a few highlights!

AI – To be clear, not training AI, but understanding how to use it to get meaningful responses. This includes SD Next, aka Stable Diffusion web ui, DALL-E 3, Midjourney, a little bit of Bard, and OpenAI/ChatGPT in the browser and via the API.

Selenium/Pytest – I completed the course, Python From Scratch & Selenium WebDriver QA Automation from Udemy. Pytest was incorporated into the work website.

QGIS Server – I revisited some aspects of QGIS, and was looking into making maps public. QGIS Server accomplishes this, but I was unable to locate a dynamic, auto sensing solution. Openlayers was used, and here is a small example that pulls data from a database to show locations. (It is a postgres DB, but is not using Spatial Data, as it is the free tier of an ElephantSQL instance.)

AlertYoSelf has gone through an evolution and a learning process. This will actually get its own post. Soon.
